  • So I know I haven't blogged in oh....3 months, but you know, as much as I love blogging (or really just reading blogs), it's not on the top of my priority list.  So when I'm pregnant and tired and I can't find the energy to do the things I need to do, blogging doesn't get done.  Can you please forgive me?  So I decided just to post some pics of our visit to the pumpkin patch to get things started back.  We went to Motley's Pumpkin Patch since Hidden Valley is now closed (sad).  Hidden Valley was definitely prettier to me, but Motley's will do for this year.  I think next year we may take the drive to the one in Mayflower.  We had a good time, but I do think Allison may be allergic to hay (both years she comes home from the pumpkin patch with a fever and sniffles).  Hope you enjoy the pictures....Allison seemed to enjoy herself.

For all those wondering out there, I am still pregnant but hopefully for not much longer.  I am dilated to 3 cm - I know that's too much info for some of you - but the doctor seemed things would start moving along pretty soon (although I know that some are dilated to 3 for weeks - if you were, just don't tell me about it).  To be completely honest, I am pretty miserable and am ready to not be pregnant anymore.  But I know babies are a lot easier to take care of when they are in the womb compared to when they are out.

  • Vote for you favorite bedding!

So I need help choosing bedding for the nursery.  I'm just not as good picking out boy stuff as I am girl stuff.  I guess it will take some practice and some getting used to.  So I have it narrowed down to 3 sets (I think).  Which one do you like the best?  The walls will be a khaki color - just like the walls in the rest of our house and also the furniture is a dark brown - somewhere between cherry and espresso.  I'm worried that the first two will be too much brown with the tan walls and brown furniture.  Here are the options:

The first one is called "My First ABC"

The second one is called "Jungle Tales"

The last one is called "Alphabet Soup"

    Please vote.

  • New Post

There are many topics that I think about blogging about but then when I sit down to write about them, the words just don't come out like I want them to....and then I worry about offending someone or accidentally making someone feel "judged."  So I just erase the post and move on - because I would rather just not blog than to offend or hurt someone's feelings.  It's just not worth it to me.  But then I came across this article today and thought it fit my point of view in the area of "stay at home moms" very well and thought it was post-worthy.

Now why can't I write like that?

  • Ultrasound

    It's a............

    BOY!!!!!

We found out yesterday that Allison will have a baby brother.  She already knew this though - she told me Wednesday morning before the ultrasound that she was going to have a baby brother and then when I returned home to tell her the news, her response was "yeah, I know."  I have to say that having a boy scares me more than if it was a girl.  I know what I'm doing - or at least I pretend I do - with my girl.  I'm sure it can't be too much different with a boy.  So now comes the time to pick out names and nursery items.  I'm pretty excited about registering since we now have a Babies R Us.  I went with my sister yesterday to register (for her) and it made me excited.  I'm trying to enjoy this pregnancy more.  I think the first time around I was just too scared and trying to do the right thing  Now that I somewhat know whats going on, I think I can relax and enjoy it some.  Although it would be a lot easier if I wasn't so sick - yes, I have still been nauseous some but I decided to start some medicine called Zofran since it looks like this will be lasting for a while.  So things have been somewhat better.  I've gone from throwing up 5 or 6 times a week, to once a week.  So that's a lot better.  I usually do not feel so great at night since the medicine wears off but at least Allison is usually asleep by then and I can just lay down and veg out.  I have pictures of the ultrasound but I can't figure out have to post them since they are a different file type.  If Matt can help me figure it out, I will post them later.  But they aren't so great anyways.
